Gnome Warm Wishes

Here's a little Gnome Santa to ignite your imagination!  I had such a good time colouring him up and giving him a snowy winter scene.  I created a mask for him and for the candy cane, then went to work creating some "hills" with the dies shown below (I did continue the hills slightly with freehand cutting with scissors because I wanted a longer hill).  I used the die cut curves to mask off where I wanted the hills to go.  Then I sponged on some Oxide inks to bring out the hills and the sky.  After I was done the background, I took the masks off and coloured the image up with Copic markers.  The snow in the foreground was also done with the markers.  The final touches were the snowy sky and the sentiment (that sentiment is from a discontinued set).  For the snowy swirls, I had made a cardboard stencil the other day, with some swirls I had cut out, so I just re-masked Santa, and laid the homemade stencil over top, then using my Copic white paint and a watercolour brush, used the spatter technique to fill in the swirly holes of the stencil.  I added a few random spatters here and there to complete the scene.
