Critter Babies 2

I think this deer turned out sweet!  I remember petting a newborn fawn - just hours after it had been born actually.  I was just a little kid, and we were in a zoo where the deer were able to wander around with the visitors to the zoo.  I saw this little fawn curled up and before a park ranger could tell me not to, I stroked it's back - not knowing it was a bad idea (I was only about 6!).  Still remains one of my favorite memories though, to have had that privilege, if even only for a few seconds.
I coloured this little guy with Copics and used the gorgeous Tropical Flowers paper to complement the setting.

Critter Babies

My new Critter Babies set offers a variety of animal babies to celebrate the arrival of a new wee one! I used the giraffe on this card, coloured with Copic markers.  I kept it fairly simple with a lot of white and the beautiful Tropical Florals paper to complement it.

More Monster Cuties

I can't stop having fun with monsters! This is another card off to a grand and I think they are going to make them giggle! I know I was giggling as I created this card!  I coloured them with Copics and masked them off to make the background green by sponging on Oxide Inks.  It's one of the simplest and easiest ways to make a colorful background that really draws attention to where you want it - on the images.  I love it!

Monster Cuties + Monster Daze!

For one of my grand-daughters fifth birthday coming up!  She loves very colourful things, so I thought I would go a little crazy with colour on this one, heheh!  I used two of the monsters from Monster Cuties and one of the furry ones in Monster Daze, and the cake and sentiments from Monster Birthday set for this card.  Coloured with Copics, except the background, which was done in Oxide inks.  I masked the images before sponging on the Oxide ink backgrounds.  I just love using this method as it makes an image look very polished!  Plus when ever there are little spots of white paper showing through (where the mask might have been placed a little over the line), it is simple to grab a marker or coloured pencil to fill in the missing spots.

Monster Daze (third card)

I just love these fun and hilarious monsters! They make it fairly easy to create a card that is sure to bring a happy smile to anyone.  I had fun creating the appearance of texture using my Copic markers and blender pen.  With monsters this colourful, I opted to keep the background white and just "ground" them with a little bit of shadow underneath.  That way, I find, they really stand out as the main attraction.

Ancient Days Wash card #3

I had so much fun creating this hilarious scene! I stamped the images, coloured them with Copic markers, then masked them off. I made the hills and sky using Distress Oxide Inks - makes a scene card so much faster than drawing by hand!  I just cut some paper into "hills" to mask the area where I wanted the sky to end, and sponged on the blue sky. To make the hills, I used the opposite part of the paper I had cut (not the hills, but the paper left above the hills I had cut) and began to sponge on green hills.  I cut a few other "hills" and moved them around as I alternately masked and sponged on layers of hills until I was happy with it.

Monster Daze (grumpy monster card)

This grumpy guy is from the Monster Daze clear stamp set. Some people just don't like birthdays, and this card honors that sentiment while at the same time, sneaking in a card on their behalf anyway.  heheh  It's just so fun to be able to create a hilarious card like this! Sure to make anyone smile.
I coloured the monster with Copics and left a lot of white space to really let the image take centre stage.  Turquoise is the recipient's fav colour, so it was easy to put a lot of it on this fairly simple design.
