Penguin Ray card drive

Hi Everyone! I have drawn a very special penguin called "Penguin Ray", a digital image for Whimsy. It is special to me because my older brother Ray requested that I draw a penguin undergoing Chemotherapy, to express how he is feeling.  He absolutely loves what I came up with.   He was diagnosed with a very serious cancer, and is fighting with all that is in him to get into remission. If any of you know anyone who has/has had cancer, you know what a toll this takes on a person and on those who love them; and you probably also know that a little encouragement goes a long way.  I want to reach out to my crafting friends to ask for your help in encouraging Ray to keep fighting. I would like to flood Ray's mailbox with Penguin Ray cards from all over the world! Ray is a person who reaches out to others - he has all his life; he has helped raise many children, and is a father figure to many, including his kid sister - me! Everything about his life is about reaching out to make this world a gentler, kinder place to be.  Let's show him that kindness comes back to those who give it out.
To join in this card campaign, simply go to Whimsy Stamps and purchase this digital penguin image, Penguin Ray. Neither Whimsy nor I will take any money from the sale of Penguin Ray.  One hundred percent of the money collected from the sale of this digital image will go to Ray's favourite charity, Make A Wish Foundation Canada. So by purchasing the image you are helping to make the wishes of terminally ill children come true.  This is very dear to Ray's heart because he has such a love for children.  Even his choice of charity says a lot about this man.
Please contact me via my email (crissy.armstrong@sympatico.ca) to obtain Ray's mailing address if you are sending him a card. And thank you in advance for your participation in this worldwide wave of love for Ray.  It's time, Ray, the world has been listening, and is answering you back with some of the love you gave out.
Here is a badge if you want to join in and spread the word about both the charity donations and the card drive for Ray on your blog (you will need to add a description about the card drive and give them a link back to this post for the information):

For my card, I altered the look of the penguin to turn it into a birthday card for Ray.  I added the cake over the IV bag, and the balloons by stamping them separately and then fussy cutting them and pasting them over the image.  Ray thought that was a hoot and he laughed so hard!  The images were coloured with Copics.
Thanks so much for looking and for reading.

Penguin Slides Slider Card

Here's another slider card made using the following Whimsy Products:
I had such a blast making this because it is hilarious how you can slide the penguin down the hill to put the hat on his head! It just makes me giggle every single time! Plus he looks just so happy doing it, lol! Images coloured with Copic markers.
Here's a photo of the card with the slider tab pulled all the way out:
Her's your closeup:
And here's a video of the slider in action:

Thanks for looking!

Penguin Lucky Shamrock

Here's one of my digital images, Penguin Lucky Shamrock! I made the sentiment on my computer.  The green paper is a sheet from my Christmas Red, Gold and Green digital paper pack.  What's so great about digital paper and images is that you can layer them like this, and there's no actual trimming or cutting involved! Just print and colour; that makes for a quick and easy card! I hope you had a great St Paddy's Day!
I coloured him with Copics.  Thanks for looking!

Whale Of A Time slider card

Hi People! This is a another slider card I made (yes, I am on a roll with sliders lately!) with Whale of a Time clear set, Kinetic Curved Hills and Kinetic Curved Basics.  As well I used Grass and Cloud Edger die and Stitched Cloud die sets, and the little starfish from Straight Waves die set.
Here is a video of the card in action:
I coloured the whale and dolphin with Copics.  Here is your close-up:

Lamb Slides

I've been having a lot of fun with making cards with moving parts lately.  Whimsy has come up with a whole range of Kinetic Dies that let you add movement to your images on your cards.  They are specially designed so that the mechanism can remain hidden and you only see the cute images, not the tabs and slots. This card I made has a tab (bottom left, right after the end of the fence) that when you pull it, the lamb appears to slide down the hill.  I put some flowers under the lamb that get revealed when you slide it down.  They are so much fun to make and a lot of fun for the recipient to toy with!
On this particular card I used my new rubber image, "Lamb Slides", a couple of sheets from my digital pack Flourishing Blooms,  and the dies: Stitched Clouds, Kinetic Curved Hills,  and Kinetic Curved Basics.   Jennifer Dove of Whimsy has a tutorial for using the No-see kinetic dies, and it can be found on the same page as the Kinetic Curved Basics page HERE (scroll down half way to see the video)
I coloured Lamb Slides using Copics.

This was such a fun card to make! Thanks for looking!

Cute From Any Angle

Here is Cute From Any Angle in a spinner card! I haven't made one of these in awhile, but this image lends itself to using it in this fashion. You just wind it up and fold it closed. Then when the recipient opens the card, the bunny spins around super fast. (much like by-gone days on the playground, when I used to twist the swings up and then let go!) So fun!
I also used a page from my new digital paper pack, Rustic Wood and Brick papers. Also used a die from the "Quick Strips" set. I love that one for sentiments!
I coloured the image with Copics and hand drew the star pattern.
Thanks so much for looking!

Bunny Mom

Well it's been awhile! Actually, there's been 2 new grand babies, so that's why I haven't been around!
To kick off my come-back, here is "Bunny Mom", a brand new red rubber image I did for Whimsy Stamps.  I also used Stitched Border Die Trio, the sentiment from Penguin's Cake, new Rustic Wood and Bricks paper (digital) and Leaf Foliage die 1.  I coloured the image with Copics.
