Freebie from me!

Hi Peeps! We are getting close to the big day! I have a little gift for you that you can pick up at the Whimsy Store!  It is a digital copy of this little snake called "Goodness Snakes" (the black and white line drawing) that you can download, colour, and put on a hand made item (card or otherwise, as long as it is hand made; the image is not for re-sale but you can sell any hand made items you have created using this image, as long as you have coloured it in by hand). Denise (of Whimsy Stamps) has also created a handful of sentiments that go perfectly with this little guy, so that you can pair them together and use them on your hand made cards too! The other items used on this card from Whimsy are the Whimsy Stitched Circle dies, the Pierced Border dies, Twinkle Stencil and Digital papers Christmas Red, Gold And Green and Christmas Traditions
Thank you so much for looking!

Die Cut Card!!

Hi guys! I know this is a break from my norm - no stamped image to colour, WHAT?!? lol ;-) But I did design those evergreen tree dies, and, I love the forest, so... This was a joy to create with all the dies on here from Whimsy Stamps! I used  "Evergreen Trees", "Forest Majesty"(the deer and the birch), "Pierced Border", "Stitched Border" and then the Merry Christmas sentiment came from "Dash Away" clear set by Amped2Stamp.  The sky I created by sponging on Distress Ink Oxides - Faded Jeans and Antique Linen.  Oh, there is one thing I did colour - the little flaws on the birch trees I coloured in with grey marker.  There.  I did do some colouring!  ha ha

Very Mice Christmas!

Wishing you a Very Mice Christmas! ha ha This little guy is from my clear set at Whimsy Stamps by that name!  He's carrying the hat for the snowman that the other mice are building (I know you can't see it so use your imagination!). I used Copics exclusively for the colouring.  The papers are from my digital packs at Whimsy - the turquoise snowflake paper is from "I Dream In Christmas" and the red piece is from "Christmas Red, Gold and Green".  The little frame for the sentiment is found in the Card Builder Window Die set. Here is your closeup:

Have a merry Chris-mice everyone! ha!

Penguin Cuddles Lamb

Hi Peeps! So today I have another one that features "Penguin Cuddles Lamb", which is offered as a red rubber or a digital stamp from Whimsy Stamps! I coloured it with Copics and cut it out with Whimsy's Stitched Circle Dies.  The background green paper was decorated with the Twinkle Stencil, white ink and white embossing powder and heat set.  The off white paper was cut with Whimsy's Pierced Border Die.  The Star Snowflake Circle frame is actually a chipboard element by MIC also sold at Whimsy Stamps but is currently sold out.  The sentiments are also Chipboard found at Whimsy!
I coloured Penguin Cuddles Lamb using Copic markers and gave the hat and scarf a little sparkle with some Smooch Pearlized top coat.  Thank you so much for looking today!

Merry Chris-moose!

Had fun colouring this mountain scene with my "Merry Chris-moose" digital image from Whimsy Stamps! I coloured the moose and the background with Copic markers, and added a few bits of coloured pencil to the moose to polish it up afterwards.  Also added some white gel pen on the one tree on the far right.  The word "merry" is from chipboard at Whimsy, and the word "Christmas" was die cut from the background paper, which is from the digital paper pack, "Snowdrops".  Here are the Copic colours I used on mr moose:
And the colours for the sky and mountains:
And here's the list for the mountains plus the trees and foreground:
Now here is your closeup:
I do want to get back to the mountains out west some time.  On my bucket list for sure.
Have a happy Holiday season!
Thanks for coming by!

Penguin Lean On Me

Hi there! Got another one done, yeah! All products are from Whimsy Stamps, the company I draw for on contract, and have enjoyed working with for a little over ten happy years now!
I used another penguin from the Penguin Lean On Me set, as well as a hat which I fussy cut and pasted on, from the Happy Owlidays  set! I coloured the image with Copics and used a bit of black and grey coloured pencil on the body, and pink on the cheeks to polish it off.  The greeting is chipboard also found at Whimsy
I carefully drew the background in very light pencil lines first, and then coloured it in using some really light Copics - W00, 0, 01, YR30, E40, and some darker greys for the tree trunks and branches - W3, 4 and 5.  I had to not colour where ever I wanted to have snow on the trees.  That was the hard part, saving the white of the paper for my snow. The hat colours are R20, 24, 27, 29, 39.
I used the Snow Dangle stencil and a red pencil crayon to make the background paper.
Here is your closeup:

Happy Owlidays Too

Hi everyone! I have another card to share using an owl from the clear set, "Happy Owlidays Too".  I also used a sentiment from the first set, "Happy Owlidays".  The background was made using a stencil on a blue designer paper.  It's a Whimsy stencil called "Twinkle Stencil".  I used Whisper White ink pad and then white embossing powder, and heat set.  The important thing to do when using a stencil is to tape it down! My first attempt was a fail because it moved! Word to the wise...
The frame is a beautiful chipboard called "Winter Snowflake Circle".  The little black tab is a die cut from Whimsy's "Card Builder Window" set.  I coloured the owl with Copics and fussy cut him out.  Here is your closeup:

I did add a little sparkle to the hat, but the photo does not pick it up. Thanks for coming by today and I hope your holiday plans are working out so far!

Penguin Lean On Me (Angel)

Hi Peeps! I decided to use this little angel penguin, and turn it into a Christmas angel! It's from the Penguin Lean On Me clear set at Whimsy Stamps. I coloured it with Copic markers, and cut it out using Whimsy's Pierced and Stitched Circle die.  The sentiment and the beautiful frame are chipboard cut outs from Whimsy as well. I inked the background with Distress Oxide inks.  Thanks so much for looking! Here is your closeup:

Ellie The Special Reindeer

Hi Peeps! Meet "Ellie, the Special Reindeer"! ha ha.  She's one of the newer holiday themed red rubber stamps from this year at Whimsy Stamps. I coloured her using Copics and a just a hint of pink pencil crayon on Ellie's cheeks.  The trees I drew with Copics.  I added some glitter on the snow and crushed glass glitter on the red nose.  "Christmas" and "Merry" are dies from Whimsy. Here's your closeup:

Thanks so much for popping by today! Happy Holidays!!

Ellie's Snowman

Hi Peeps! How is your card making/giving going?  I have a purple-loving daughter and so this card will be for her.  Ellie is a red rubber image from Whimsy that just came out (Dec/19) that I call "Ellie's Snowman".  My ellies seem to be popular this year!  I coloured it using Copics first, and then went over some of the shadows and highlights using Prismacolour Pencils.
Here's your closeup:
The trees are from a couple of different tree die sets at Whimsy - "Evergreen Trees" and "Snowy Trees".  I used Snow Tex on them along with some sparkly glitter. The snowflake paper is from the digital pack, "I Dream In Christmas".  It's great to use digital paper - so much less waste! You just print what you need, when you need it, and as many times as you want to! I love it.
The greeting is two separate dies: Christmas Large Word and Happy Large Word
I hope your holiday preparations are going better than mine this year! I have barely begun.
Oh well, that's how it goes some years!
Thanks for coming by!
