Snowlady Surprise Warm Heart

Well, I decided I liked the result the first time I layered Copics over the Tombow watercolor, so I thought I'd do it again. This time I was careful not to let the marker touch the stamped image so the black ink would not bleed into the color. Lesson learned!
The sketch is borrowed from SC194 on SplitcoastStampers.
Papers are from Basic Grey and Cosmo Cricket.
I love those tiny jingle bells! There's one on this card too, in the cotton twine.
All the stamps are from High Hopes Stamps.
I have been using Christmas images from last year and the two years prior. I can hardly wait for the next new release to be ready, cuz there are a lot of new Christmas designs to choose from. I am not telling just yet though... don't worry, it is coming soon!
TFL!

  1. By no means am I an expert but I actually got this idea from the Zindorf blog. What she does is first she stamps her stamp in versamark, then in the black ink of her choice (stampin up, stazon or Black palette) I have tried this with SU and Palette. Then what she does is puts clear embossing powder over top of it and then uses a heat gun. When it is complete you have a black stamped image that is also embossed and it keeps the black stamped image protected from running. I hope this makes sense. I tried it because I use my SU spots with a waterbrush thingy (sorry for being so technical) and I was having a problem with running. I tried this and no more. Let me know if you try please.
    Thanks,

  7. Adorable card! Your coloring is fantastic! Try Memento ink from Tsukineko for stamping. You can color almost instantly and this ink will not run when using the Copics.

  8. Cute, Cute, Cute!!! I just love how your colors POP right off the page!

Someone over at SCS was just wondering if you could use Copics over watercoloring. I gave my two-cents (which was yes...) but you could give her WAY better tips than I could.

I'm looking forward to the Christmas Release too... can't have too many cute stamps!
