Help For Haiti Blog Candy
Blog candy will be open from Sat. Jan 23 through Sat Feb. 6th. However, I may extend the deadline if people are still responding after two weeks.
How would you like reach out to the people of Haiti, and at the same time get your name in the draw for a HUGE blog candy give-away? Read on…
I asked Denise of Whimsy Stamps if I could design a special carousel horse (pictured above) that we could use to raise funds for Haiti. She graciously agreed! And so I drew this carousel angel horse with wings, and we have called it, “Wings of Hope”. From now until the end of February 2010, this limited edition digital image will be available to purchase, exclusively in Whimsy’s online shop. Whimsy has agreed to donate all proceeds from the sale of this stamp, minus the Paypal fees to the American Red Cross disaster relief fund for Haiti. Please click on this link if you wish to purchase it. Be sure to scroll down the page on that link to see some gorgeous samples that the Whimsy Design Team has already made with this stamp. I just finished drawing it Thursday night, and they have samples made already! You go girls!!
And now about the prizes...
I have two prize packages that will be up for grabs in my “Help For Haiti Blog Candy contest”. A second place prize, and a GRAND prize. Once this contest ends, I will choose two random winners through Random Integer Generator.org.

ReplyDeleteHi Crissy,
ReplyDeleteI love your creativity. Your art is beautiful.
You are doing a wonderful thing here. I wish I could put your link pin on my bog...but I don't have one. I will tell many people though.
My husband and I have made a donation to the Red Cross- to go directly to needs in Haiti. We also donated items to fill a large car with blankets, clothing, towels, (you name it.) A friend of my husband drove the car to Miami where many of the Haitian people have relocated. There is no receipt for this part of course. But, there is for the Red Cross.
May the Dear Lord Bless you as you are helping His Haitian Children,
He IS Able,
Traci Starkweather

ReplyDeleteHi, Chrissy: I have purchased Wings of Hope and am thrilled to do so- it is so beautiful, and the purpose is inspired. God bless you and Denise for providing this hope for so many in need.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if this counts, but I have recently donated money through our church for Darfur - in partnership with UMCOR and another Ohio church to build water towers and schools for refugees of the massive impact of crimes there. I also, for the last five years, have been the volunteer executive director of a nonprofit emergency services organization in Wadsworth, OH, serving 850 households with financial assistance and other social service needs. This runs from my home.
Thank you for this opportunity - stamping is one of my other passions, particularly with such beautiful designs with which to work! Happy day!
Kris, Wadsworth, OH

What a fabulous idea! I wish I knew where to give some of my handmade items where they can be used to get money for charity.
ReplyDeleteI've put the link in my sidebar and I ordered the digi horse. My order no is 1732.
What a fantastic way to raise money to help those poor people who have had their lives devastated by this disaster.
ReplyDeleteI have purchased Wings of Hope and have lniked your badge on my sidebar.

Hello! I would like to feature the horse you are selling on my Squidoo Shop 4 Charity: http://scribbleprints.blogspot.com . Is there an image you would like me to use for that?

I have always wanted to meet an artist, and now I've stumbled on your blog. I also grew up in Ontario! Blessings on you, for thinking of another way to help our Haitian friends, ones we've never met yet. I have Canadian friends who were working there! Someone I used to work for runs the orphanage called Providence of God. Thanks, Michelle
ReplyDeleteHow very gernerous of you to be doing this. I have posted about your giveaway/lending a hand on my blog since this started, but I have only recently been able to purchase your Wings of Hope digi image. Love your work and generous heart.

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea and the stamp is beautiful. I purchased the stamp, but I also made a scrapkit in my store with all proceedings going to the Red Cross relief fund for Haiti.
ReplyDeleteWe can all help in our own ways. Posted your blinked in my side bar and hope you sell tons! Thanks so much!
I think this is such a brilliant idea and also a beautiful stamp which I am so pleased I bought. I don't have a blog but have put the details of how to buy the stamp on forums of which I am a member so I hope that brings some people to buy.
ReplyDeleteI hope you make a lot of money to help the relief work in Haiti.
Thank you for your generosity.
This is such a sweet and amazing idea! I love it and the stamp that has been created is so gorgeous! We made donations to Yele Haiti and the American Red Cross. This is AMAZING blog candy for you to give away for such a great cause...you have done such a fab job! I made sure to post a link and image on my blog sidebar! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea and yet the possibility to help so many is tremendous. I have already purchased the stamp and would recommend it to everyone to do similar.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I don't have a blog, but have mentioned it to many on MSN/ email and word of mouth.
Thank you for the opportunity to win some gorgeous candy.
Hugs,
Trish
A lovely idea to help Haiti and reach out I am sure. The level of devastation that has happened to them is unthinkable and we all must join and make the effort successful in lessening it.
